Truman Scholarship:
- The Truman scholarship is for Undergraduate Public Health and Health Management Students and Graduate Public Health and Health Management Students.
- The Truman Scholarship provides up to $30,000 in funding to students pursuing graduate degrees for careers in public service, government, education, or the non-profit sector. Students must be college juniors at the time of selection. Scholars are required to work in public service for three of the seven years following completion of a Foundation funded graduate degree program as a condition of receiving Truman funds.

AAHD Scholarship Program:
- The AAHD scholarship is for Undergraduate Public Health and Health Management Students and Graduate Public Health and Health Management Students.
- This award supports students with disabilities who are pursuing higher education. Preference will be given to students who plan to pursue undergraduate/graduate studies in the field of public health, health promotion, disability studies, to include disability policy and disability research.

Morris K. Udall Scholarship:
- The Morris K. Udall scholarship is for Undergraduate Public Health and Undergraduate Health Management Students.
- Awarded to sophomores and juniors who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to the environment; to Native American and Alaska Native students who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to tribal public policy; or to Native American and Alaska Native students who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to Native health care. Institutional endorsement required; SLU may award up to six endorsements.

Samuel Huntington Public Service Award:
- The Samuel Huntington Public Service scholarship is for Undergraduate Public Health and Health Management Students.
- Provides a $10,000 stipend for a graduating college senior to pursue one year of public service anywhere in the world. The award allows recipients to engage in a meaningful public service activity for one year before proceeding on to graduate school or a career.

Association of Food and Drug Officials Scholarship Award:
- The Association of Food and Drug Officials scholarship is for Undergraduate Public Health Students.
- The recipients of this award should have demonstrated a desire to serve in a career of research, regulatory work, quality control, or teaching in an area related to some aspect of foods, drugs or consumer product safety

- The National Institutes of Health Undergraduate Program scholarship is for Undergraduate Public Health and Health Management Students.
- Offers competitive scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds that are committed to careers in biomedical, behavioral, and social science health-related research. Recipients must fulfill service obligations to NIH; up to $20,000/year.

Pearson Prize for Higher Education:
- The Pearson Prize for Higher Education scholarship is for Undergraduate Public Health and Health Management Students.
- This scholarship supports students who have completed at least one year of college, have demonstrated leadership in community service, and have been attending a 2 or 4 year school. Twenty will receive a $10,000 award and 50 will receive a $500 award.

JW Saxe Memorial Prize for Public Service:
- The JW Saxe Memorial Prize for Public Service scholarship is for Undergraduate Public Health Students.
- A prize of two thousand dollars will be awarded to one or more college or university students involved in public service. The award is meant to enable the student to gain practical experience in public service by taking a no-pay or low-pay job or internship during a summer or other term.

ACMPE Scholarship Fund:
- The ACMPE scholarship is for Undergraduate and Graduate Health Management Students.
- Supports and promotes healthcare leaders’ personal and professional growth toward the advancement of the profession. The program supports individuals who, by virtue of experience, current position and plans demonstrate potential for contributing to the medical practice management profession. The scholarships may be used toward an undergraduate or graduate degree relevant to medical practice management, including public health, business administration, health care administration, and other related areas.

- The Vivian Drenkhahn Student scholarship is for Undergraduate and Graduate Public Health and Health Management Students.

Department of Health and Human Services Visiting Scholars Program:
- The Department of Health and Human Services visiting scholarship is for Undergraduate Public Health and Health Management Students.
- Visiting scholars will have opportunities to do the following: assist in the implementation of Presidential and Secretarial initiatives and ODPHP-specific projects; experience first-hand the basis for national policy decisions; assist in coordinating initiatives and policy documents among the various agencies within HHS (e.g., Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institutes of Health, Food and Drug Administration); aid in preparing briefings for the Assistant Secretary for Health and the Surgeon General; have the opportunity to serve on interdepartmental committees involving a range of specific topics related to health promotion and disease prevention; understand the role of health communication in disease prevention and health promotion; develop fundamental competencies in public health.

USAID Internships:
- The USAID internships are for Undergraduate Public Health and Health Management Students and Graduate Public Health and Health Management Students.
- SCEP (Student Career Experience Program): Offers a student valuable work experience directly related to his or her academic field of study. It provides formal periods of work and study while you are attending school. It requires a commitment from the student, the student’s school, and the employing Federal agency. Students may be eligible for permanent employment conversion under this program after successfully completing their education and meeting work requirements.
- STEP (Student Temporary Experience Program): Offers temporary employment that will enable a student to earn a salary while continuing studies. Appointments to jobs under this program can range from summer jobs to positions that can last for the duration of a student’s education. An agency, at their discretion, may establish academic and job performance standards that students must meet to continue in the program. There is no permanent employment conversion element under this program.

Health Management and Policy Summer Enrichment Program (SEP):
- The Health Management and Policy Summer Enrichment Program is for Undergraduate Health Management Students.
- Each student in the SEP is assigned to an eight-week, pre-professional internship in a health care or public health organization in Southeast Michigan. Students conduct projects during the internship and are also exposed to a variety of people and activities in the organization. The SEP has partnered with most of the health care and public health agencies in Southeast Michigan and in Flint to enable students to have meaningful summer internships, including hospitals, insurance companies, health associations, community health centers, health departments, and long-term care organizations.

National Academy of Social Insurance Internships:
- The National Academy of Social Insurance Internships are for Undergraduate Public Health Students.

Liberty and Current Issues Summer Seminar:
- The Liberty and Current Issues Summer internship is for Undergraduate Public Health and Graduate Health Policy Students.
- Those who will attend the seminar will spend the first week of the summer in the Washington, DC, area learning about policy, evaluating solutions to current challenges using a dynamic framework that utilizes the power of markets and preserves individual rights, improving their understanding of how governments work and their ability to analyze proposed policies, and considering the implications of this framework on contemporary issues such as health care, school choice, the drug war, disaster relief, guns, environmental policy, corporate ethics, immigration, and terrorism.

Freeman Indonesian Non -Profit Internship Program:
- The Freeman Indonesian Non-Profit internship is for Undergraduate Public Health and Health Management Students.
- The Freeman Indonesia Nonprofit Internship Program (FINIP) aims to develop student leaders and strengthen the nonprofit sector in Indonesia. - The USDA internship is for Undergraduate Public Health Students.

AAPD Advocacy Internship:
- The AAPD Advocacy internship is for Undergraduate Public Health Students and Graduate Health Policy Students.
- The AAPD Advocacy intern will gain exposure to diverse policy areas, political structures, advocacy tools and organizing techniques. Echoing Green Fellowship:
- The Echoing Green Fellowship is for Graduate Public Health Students.
- To accelerate social change, Echoing Green invests in and supports outstanding emerging social entrepreneurs to launch new organizations that deliver bold, high-impact solutions. Faiths Act Fellowship:
- The Faiths Act Fellowship is for Graduate Public Health Students.
- Fellows work to increase multi-faith action in their placement communities and achieve the MDGs by advancing their host organization’s goals. Fellows’ particular project is determined based on the work plan devised by the host organization and program staff. Typical projects may include implementing fundraising initiatives, running advocacy campaigns, or coordinating multi-faith service initiatives in their communities. In addition, a proportion of Fellows’ time each week (an average of 4 to 8 hours per week) is devoted to interfaith leadership coaching sessions and participation in global Faiths Act initiatives (as they arise). In line with the signature campaign of Faiths Act, all Fellows will also participate in or organize a World Malaria Day (April 25th) event or initiative.

AIF Clinton Fellowship for Service:
- The AIF Clinton Fellowship is for Graduate Public Health Students.
- This Fellowship gives a select group of young American professionals the opportunity to serve with Indian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for ten months. Fellows work in the three pillar areas of AIF: Public Health, Education, & Livelihoods. Some projects also occur in other innovative areas. The Fellowship Program aims to build the capacity of Indian NGOs while developing American leaders with a deep understanding of, and continued commitment to, India through an exchange of technical skills & intellectual resources that create meaningful transformative partnerships. Villers Fellowship for Health Care Justice:
- The Villers Fellowship for Health Care Justice is for Graduate Public Health Students.
- The Villers Fellow works as a full-time policy analyst in Families USA’s Health Policy Department. The Fellowship is based in the Families USA office in Washington, D.C. and is designed to provide the Fellow with a national perspective on health care justice work and the opportunity to learn about a range of health care justice issues. The Fellow’s principal responsibilities include conducting primary and secondary research on a range of health care issues and health reform topics—such as Medicaid, Medicare, the state Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the private insurance market—as well as writing and contributing to publications that are relevant to current health reform issues. The fellowship will last one year, and Fellows will receive a compensatory package that includes an annual salary of approximately $38,000 and excellent health care benefits.

Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellowship:
- The Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellowship is for Graduate Public Health Students.
- Fellows are placed for half of their term of service with urban and rural community-based organizations all over the country involved in fighting hunger at the local level, such as grass roots organizing groups, food banks, economic development agencies, local advocacy groups and faith-based organizations. They then move to Washington, DC to complete the year with national organizations involved in the anti-hunger and poverty movement, including national advocacy organizations, think tanks, and federal agencies.

Mabelle Arole International Fellowship:
- The Mabelle Arole International Fellowship is for Graduate Public Health Students.

- The NEHA/AAS Fellowship / Scholarship is for Graduate Public Health Students.

Laura Bush Traveling Fellowship:
- The Laura Bush Traveling Fellowship is for Undergraduate Public Health and Health Management Students.
- The Fellowship will help fund a proposal designed by the applicant to conduct brief work in a foreign country related to the mandate of UNESCO—using education, natural sciences, social and human sciences, culture, and/or communication and information to build strong ties among nations.

CDC/APHL Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory Fellowship:
- The CDC/APHL Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory Fellowship is designed for bachelor’s or master’s level scientists.
- Trains and prepares scientists for careers in public health laboratories and supports public health initiatives related to infectious disease research. This is a one-year program designed for bachelor’s or master’s level scientists, with emphasis on the practical application of technologies, methodologies and practices related to emerging infectious diseases.

NIH Graduate Partnerships Program in Biomedical Sciences:
- The NIH Graduate Partnerships Program Fellowship is for Graduate Public Health Students.
- At the NIH, graduate students work in a highly collaborative research environment with leading scientists and clinicians. They share the NIH campus with the largest translational research hospital in the nation. They explore areas such as bioinformatics, biophysics, epidemiology, immunology, cell and molecular biology, neuroscience, health sciences, structural biology, sensory and communication neuroscience, molecular pathology, bio-behavioral research, and developmental biology.

NIH Academy:
- The NIH Academy Fellowship is for Graduate Public Health Students.
- Biomedical research program for recent college graduates with an interest in domestic health disparities, differences in the frequency or severity of diseases and other adverse health conditions among populations in the U.S. Academy members spend a year (or possibly two) working side-by-side with NIH investigators in an environment devoted exclusively to biomedical research. In addition, they complete a curriculum that combines the study of health disparities with career and professional development workshops.
